Five Oh First, December 2008 - Present
Five Oh First is a very talented local band from Chicago. Designed fliers, banners and other online materials, album artwork and layouts to help promote them.
AccuTech, April 2009 - Present
AccuTech is a company that manufactures and sells precision lighting fixtures and accessories. Designed various print pieces for their Goose Neck Light and will also be working on a web site and future advertising materials, in hopes of boosting sales on a variety of different products.
Western Illinois University Art Department, August - December 2008
Western Illinois University Art Department, hired me through out my last semester to design a variety of materials to promote exhibits, activities and other art department events.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Graphic Designer, The Western Courier, Macomb, Illinois, 2008 – 2009
As graphic designer for the Western Courier, worked on a variety of cover designs, page layouts and advertisements.
Accomplishments:
- Designed the Western courier front cover and cover for the edge entertainment section, available to over 13,602 students.
- Worked on a variety of advertisements for local businesses helping sales, met each issues deadline requirements.
- Worked as part of a team of 4 to 8 students as a designer, on copyright and page layout for all sections of newspaper.
- Single-handedly worked on specific issues including the November 5th Election issue completing them by deadlines.
Graphic Design Intern, Victory Records, Chicago, Illinois, May – August 2008
As a graphic design intern for the New Media Department at Victory Records, worked on a wide variety of projects, advertisements (flash/print/web), posters and other band merchandise, web design, and even album artwork and layouts.
Accomplishments:
- Designed advertisements for a variety of bands including Hawthorne Heights, sold 20,000 albums in the first week.
- Designed Victory advertisements for magazines and newspapers published worldwide, including USA Today.
- Working on album art for bands like Bayside and Hawthorne Heights increasing productivity and met the deadlines.
- Worked as part of a team as a graphic designer and production assistant for various podcasts and “VicTorV” episodes.
